Most Romantic Disney Moments

Why do we watch Disney movies? Because it's so darn magical AND romantic. So, here is my top five most romantic moments in Disney film. Enjoy and feel free to add your favorites to the list!

1. The dancing scene in "Beauty and the Beast".

Ah, Belle dancing with the Beast. It was the moment when they finally accepted each other and it was when Belle fell in love with the Beast. Who can forget the simple, yet sweet moment, when she rests her head on his chest. The lighting, the music, Belle's beautiful golden ballgown, with Angela Lansbury singing "Tale As Old As Time" as Mrs. Potts, it's enough to make us teary eyed...

2. Aladdin kisses Jasmine.

For me, it wasn't the carpet ride that was most romantic, it was the long awaited kiss between Aladdin and Jasmine. With a helpful nudge from the magic carpet, Aladdin finally got to kiss his Princess.

 3. "Sleeping Beauty" forest waltz.

I literally smile every time this scene comes on when ever I watch "Sleeping Beauty". It's just so perfect and so romantic. Prince Philip, robbed of his cape and hat, discovers the adorable dance between Aurora and the critters dressed as a Prince in his garb. He cuts in and they waltz through the enchanting forest. Cheesy? Okay, maybe a little. But c'mon...admit it, you swooned! It's thanks to the sweeping romantic song "Once Upon A Dream" that adds the magical touch.

4. John Smith meets Pocahontas.

I personally think it's such a romantic scene in the movie. John Smith thinking he was in danger was ready to fight, but when he saw Pocahontas, he was so entranced by her beauty, that he was speechless. It's the mist that slowly clears and reveals Pocahontas standing tall with her long dark hair flowing in the wind, and John Smith slowly approaching her, and the soft instrumental of "If I Never Knew You" in the background, that makes it a magical moment.

5. Tangled "I See The Light".

Need I say more? Flynn, the roguish thief, finally realizing what he was missing in his life: Someone to share adventures with. And he found that with Rapunzel. The hundreds of gorgeous floating lanterns, the duet, everything about this moment is pure Disney magic.

The Beauty of Oz

Last night I took a journey down memory lane. I re-watched "The Wizard of Oz" on Blu-Ray. I haven't watched the movie in a VERY long time. I used to watch the movie all the time when I was a little girl. I remember the video tape I had with a slip cover, which was worn out, that had the main character's of the movie on it. I would pretend that I was Dorothy singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" holding a stuffed dog toy, pretending that it was the loyal Toto. That's actually a true story. So, you can all imagine how excited I am for Disney's "Oz The Great and Powerful." The movie looks so beautiful, vibrant, and magical.

I woke up this morning feeling inspired by the sparkling colors of Emerald City, that I was ecstatic when I discovered new beauty products at Sephora, that captures the sparkling, energetic green, of the whimsical home of the Wizard of Oz. Emerald happens to be the color of the year, as well!

Emerald is a perfect pop of color for Spring and I can't wait to try out these products for myself. Do you plan on watching "Oz The Great and Powerful"? =D

Princess Jasmine Sephora Collection

Hi Princesses!

As many of you know, Sephora introduced the Cinderella make up collection last year. which I personally tested out and loved. The next Princess to have her moment in the spotlight is...Jasmine! I love Princess Jasmine. She's feisty, independent, and like a true Disney Princess, she has a good heart.

I was very excited when I saw the warm golds, rich plums, and turquoise they've incorporated to the collection, since I'm a huge fan of those colors. I haven't had the chance to check out the collection out in person yet, but once I do, I will definitely do a review.

Check it out!

So...what do you ladies think? Don't forget to leave me a comment. It's been a while since I've chatted to many of you and I'm curious to know what awesome stuff you've been up to! Have a beautiful weekend!

Fantasy Faire Opening March 12th!

If you've been to Disneyland recently, you'll notice something exciting happening near Sleeping Beauty's Castle. That's right, I'm talking about the incredibly adorable Fantasy Faire! Why am I excited about this? Because I'm super girly and I LOVE the Disney Princesses.

Fantasy Faire will have it's grand opening next month on the 12th. Looking at the concept art, the square has a charming storybook atmosphere where you can meet some of your beloved Disney Princesses such as Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Rapunzel, and Cinderella!

Fantasy Faire expands the boundaries of the original Fantasyland. The magical village will have a Royal Hall where the Princesses will meet and greet guests, the Royal Theatre with two new shows; one with Belle from Beauty and the Beast and the other with Flynn and Rapunzel from Tangled. There will also be a new shop called Fairytale Treasures where you can purchase gifts suitable for a Princess! And if you get thirsty and want to satisfy your sweet tooth, stop by Maurice's Treats: a food wagon that will serve signature drinks along with savory and sweet twisted bread sticks.

I will be looking forward to this!

Book Review: Fairest of All: A Tale Of The Wicked Queen

Hello my lovely Princesses!

It's always fun to read stories on why certain villainous characters are the way they are. What made them so evil? Why do they do the things they do?

On a past trip to Disneyland, I discovered the book "Fairest of All" A Tale Of The Wicked Queen by Serena Valentino. I was intrigued immediately upon seeing the title, but I was also a little skeptical. I wasn't sure if it would be worth reading, so I didn't get it. I was pleasantly surprised.

Having a great boyfriend that knows what I love, he surprised me with the book last weekend on our most recent visit to the Magical Kingdom.

I joked with him that I'll probably finish the book in two days. And I did. I'm a pretty seasoned reader and the book is not long at all.

My thoughts on it?? It's a good light read and will keep you entertained. The author takes you on a journey with the Wicked Queen; from the moment she married Snow's father...to her dark ending. You get to experience her back story and what finally drove her to madness.

There are certain parts in the book that are eerie and twisted, which I personally loved. Valentino's writing style is darkly poetic and she does a good job at conveying every emotion the Queen experiences. From fleeting joys, sorrow, and guilt, Valentino describes them all in rich detail. I'm not a fan of sugar coating the story of a villain. I want to know all of the gritty details, so I can truly understand the character.

All in all, it's a little gem of a book. I wish it was longer though. It's only 250 pages long. Then again, I wish a lot of other books I'm in love with are longer. A good example, Harry Potter! But I digress... If you're one of those people that are fascinated by the villain's side of the story, then you'll definitely enjoy this book!

Do you have any good spin-off books that you would like to recommend? Or if you've already read this, tell me what you liked and disliked about it. Have a great weekend!
